Hire Charges Include

500 miles for a 7 day hire period or 85 miles per day. Extra miles will be charged at 30p per mile.

*Insurance loading. In some cases, Camper Daze will incur additional charges if the driver to be insured has a traffic conviction, is using a non-UK/EU driving license or is in an occupation which is deemed high risk. These charges will be passed on to the customers.

Insurance

The cost of insuring an additional driver is usually about £5.00 per day per person (assuming a clean driving licence). Only three (3) drivers in total can be insured for any one Vehicle.  The Vehicle has comprehensive insurance for the first and any other named drivers. Insurance is only for the Vehicle and for any equipment that belongs with the Vehicle. You are advised to take out your own personal effects and travel insurance. We are not responsible for any damage in connection with any accident or breakdown, nor for any loss from the Vehicle during the Hire Period.  You must report any incidents involving damage caused to or by the Vehicle to us during the Hire Period, or at the latest on return of the Vehicle; otherwise the insurance may be invalidated, and you will be personally liable for all costs.

If any third party suffers death, personal injury or damage to property caused by use of the Vehicle that involves a breach by you, or any authorised driver, of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you agree to indemnify us, if we have to compensate: (a) the insurers for any payment they make to a third party on your behalf; and/or (b) any third party.

Standard Excess

The above rate includes a standard excess of GB£500. In the event of any damage to either the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first GB£500. The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage.

Smoking: We have a no smoking policy in all our vehicles. Any damage caused by smoking will be paid for by the customer as will any extra valeting costs incurred by Camper Daze as a result of smoking in the vehicle.

Deposit

There is a refundable GB£500.00 Security Deposit payable by cash, BACS or cheque, which must have cleared before departure. This is fully refundable providing the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date and time, in the same condition as it was let out to you and with the interior clean including all cooking appliances.  All the contents must be present and correct and the tank full of fuel.   It is usually returned to you on the day but sometimes due to time constraints it is not possible to check the vans thoroughly on return, if this is the case it will be returned to you within 7 days.

Drivers

Drivers must provide a separate form of identification to confirm address e.g. utilities bill less than 3 months old.
Private vehicles left with Camper Daze are done so at the risk of the vehicle owner.

Payment

Availability is on a request and confirm basis at the time of reservation. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Camper Daze and a non-returnable deposit has been received. Settlement of the remaining balance will be due six weeks prior to departure.
Payment is by cash, electronic transfer or cheque in Pounds Sterling.
For late bookings (less than six weeks before departure) the full rental price is payable on booking. Vehicles will not be released without full payment being completed. Cheques will not be acceptable for late bookings (less than 2 weeks prior to departure).

Cancellation Charges

More than 6 weeks before rental start date: Booking Deposit (£100)
Within 6 weeks of rental start date: 100% of total hire charge payable
Please ensure you have your own holiday insurance in place to cover the costs if for any reason you have to cancel your reservation.

Collection and Return

Collection: 3pm is our earliest collection time. Please allow 1 hour for the hand-over on collection - to complete the documentation, to demonstrate your vehicle to you and to transfer your luggage to the camper. Please allow the same on your return.
Return: Campers to be returned by 10am. The vehicle must be returned on the date, and at or before the time stated on the rental agreement. Vehicles must be returned clean and in the same condition as they leave, otherwise a charge will be made.
Late return: If you will be late returning, Camper Daze must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. An additional charge of £50 per hour will be payable for all late return.
